I could be working tonight, some license review whatever. This beats the hell out of that.
STYLE: American IPA
LOOK: Lighter than expected, honeyed yellow. It reveals no hint of the body and balance to come. The lacing is fine with moderate retention. Moving on…
NOSE: Soft pine, pineapple, mangoes, orange peel, olive oil. Go on…
MOUTH: A real building beer. Sweet tarts, pine needles, backboned malt, playful carbonation. The mystery here is that the beachy nose doesn’t quite leave the pool bar. You could find that irritable. Or maybe intriguing? What I do know I want is a longer, more refined finish. There’s goodness to be savored that shouldn’t require an extra pull.
