Why is this so hard for me? I used to write all the time. College newspaper, the works. Even thought, before the Socratic Method ruined whatever voice I had, that it could have been a career. Now I’m in finance, the law, whatever. It doesn’t really matter. The point is I’ve tried to rekindle that flame a number of times and failed miserably. Now I have to accept that I’m not going to be a writer because I’m not that good at it any more. That’s the hardest part to admit.

The truth is, I don’t know what this is or is going to be. And I’m okay with that. For the first time, I’m maybe okay with that.

A friend of mine recommend this to me.

STYLE: Bière de Garde

ABV: 8%

LOOK: Very light copper, #2 pencil, bubbly, light lacing.

NOSE: Hint of butter, tart apple, lemon rind. A little flat overall.

MOUTH: Pear, granny smith apple, champagne, sharp citrus, fresh-cut hay, good sour. I’m not getting the pepper promised on the label, either here or in the nose, and not even as it warms.
